Thank you for writing this up as I was doing my part to make sure the ratings were shit. I also didn't have the stomach to even tune in on alternate sources for that Trainwreck of a self-fellating diatribe. Hypocrisy abounds and the lies cannot be stopped. Can't wait for the day when we're all free of all of this mess if it ever happens in our lives, which I doubt. "Give them bread and circuses and they will never revolt". It's bad when the government is the damn crcus.
I only watched because I had to stay awake since I’m on-call. Otherwise, there wouldn’t have been enough money to pay me to watch him regurgitate the same old lies. 😬
much gratitude to you for suffering on our behalf. I shared your post with a (former) friend who somehow became a cult member, she'd come to the US from a former Communist European nation and would constantly say she recognized tyranny but yet embraces this one. She is constantly being called out for her blind loyalty to this "thing" because she seriously should know better...
Michael, thank you for providing this breakdown, I could not bear to watch. I appreciate your thoughtful analysis, Perhaps you can analyze this with me. If we could get to the actual BOTTOM of the well, dig out the stinking muck, we could possibly solve the problem, very very slim chance, but it is there.
It is a very common and pervasive problem, many of the thoughtful and concerned have discussed it at length, it lies in the center of our national being and it is killing us as a nation more than anything else. I keep trying to figure it out and it is just so so hard because some of it lies in our human nature and we have not yet transcended our core animal programming and foundation.
I look to the past to learn, I am a student of history, but can find no counter, even though we humans have been here before many times.
Except there is one particular common element in all the annals of history, which you do talk about it. (Sorry this is sounding more like a blog post and less like a comment, please bear with me. I really want to find a way out of all this mess, with the least suffering.)
Obviously as a country, as a world, we are lacking a UNIFYING vision, and with it, through our experiences of life in America over decades and the apparent blurring of values, our trust and mutual respect, in the face of actually what is a very common core cause among us from far left to far right.
In this discussion, I am not talking about the hidden powers that are manipulating and now harvesting the fruits of the undermining of our national mutual trust and respect of ALL things, tearing us apart and traumatizing us from the inside for their own gain.
I am speaking of the common person, the average American, both left and right sense the manipulation, even the least educated among us, but have drawn diametrically opposed opinions about the source of the problems and their solution. What is patently obvious to us, is not obvious to them and vice versa.
At its actual core, both sides want precisely the same thing, in life, in heart, when cutting through the disgusting BS of it all. Every individual it seems, wants to feel safe, to have their basic needs met, to live reasonably comfortably without the feeling of imminent danger and destruction, and to feel that life has been “fair” to them. People vary widely in what they are willing to give up to even maintain the illusion of these things. For many decades, America believed in its ability to provide this, if only the individual would put in enough effort. The illusion being that it has only ever been possible for a small minority among us, more based on luck and circumstances than talent and effort, that is the way of the world.
However, we appear to be caught in a very bad divorce now, a critical mass of Americans feel and are abused and left behind, and so have utterly lost crucial trust and respect. In the conflict both sides appear hopelessly entrenched in the belief that the other side is irrevocably evil. Loss of trust and mutual respect, and the loss of a common vision, is at the core of our problems.
I recently really tried to understand my conservative friend, who thinks Elon is absolutely brilliant, if off the hook, a conservative leaning Texan, a successful small business owner, a church going (but not evangelical) Christian, and Trump although old and delusional is doing a great job weeding out all the corruption in our government.
I can’t see how she comes to that conclusion based on what I see and hear, but she sincerely believes that, she feels Trump has her answer, her vision, he can get her to the place above I described, despite everything.
Rather than snapping back at this Trump supporter, I would ask what she thought was great, would counter with some (super obvious) observations as I understood them, she just said my opinions and numbers were wrong, l had to come to terms with HER fact that the “liberal” media was lying to me, that there was real corruption and waste in our government she was sick of all the money she pays in taxes going out to unworthy causes, all the hassle and unnecessary regulations she is forced to comply with. It makes her suffer and she just wants it to stop, she doesn’t really care how. She is not a “bad person” and she is largely not incorrect in these opinions, we disagree on the source of the problem and its solution.
Example: She thought Zelensky is corrupt (for example), she thinks he’s skimming money off the 3 trillion dollars of US support Ukraine has received, she points to seven Ukrainian generals who lost their expensive homes in the Malibu fires, how could they afford that on a general’s salary, she was glad someone was stepping up to actually DO something about it.
Is Zelensky siphoning off money, how does she know, what are her facts and statistics? Do we actually know as fact anything she said about that? How would even the American government know? Certainly I do not precisely have the actual facts to know at its core.
Any statement of statistics is considered manipulated and untrue, the liberal news vs the conservative news, what to believe, which has left the door wide open for the real perpetrators to optimize the blindness and do the damage to the system we observe. “There are no sides, there are only plans.”
Divide and conquer. Trump for all his failings, is a master of that. Once his usefulness is complete, he will be discarded.
A personality needs to arise in the public arena that is equally effective at reestablishing a true unifying and altruistic vision, a true super hero. Does such a person exist? Can we pull out of this nosedive we are in?

Thanks for your patience.
Stay tuned for a detailed response.
I have a 5-part series on the biggest lobbyist firms in draft - soon to be released.
From there, we’ll go through your thoughts - thank you for inviting me to address them!! Much appreciated!
I didn’t care to watch. All he does is lie.
Thanks for the breakdown. I didn't watch. Had to work. Also no desire to a disqualified, illegitimate dictator lie like usual.
