Signed in blood on Independence Day, this is not the beginning. It’s the end of pretending.

The Future

We, the People, may have lost the peaceful fight. We invested our money and hopes into politicians who were too soft, too ineffective, and too often, also too aligned. We thought that there was decency left within the ideological opposition, and we held on to hope that evidence, logic, conclusions, and humanity would prevail.

On all accounts: We. Were. Wrong.

Project 2025 was the blueprint of destruction. Written in such a way that most Americans lacked the education, interest, and time to read, understand, and internalize the dangers we were facing. The year 2025 was never meant to be the beginning of the project, but was earmarked to bring the project to completion.

Poetic Injustice

Now, the “One Big Beautiful Bill” has been sent to Trump’s desk to be signed into law. On Independence Day. The date of signing is, of course, no coincidence. The regime is marketing, managing, communicating, and deliberately destroying any form of decency left in the United States. Their propaganda, fearmongering, telling tales that immigrants eat their dogs, to solidify an agenda that will now feed immigrants to alligators, has worked and continues to work.

The MAGA haze, frenzy, and abhorrently absent humanity, they continue to chant “USA USA USA”, upon voting for a bill that they KNOW will endanger their constituents. For what? A signed MAGA hat? A pat on the back of their head?

At first, the GOP did not have the votes, but Mike Johnson kept the vote open. Rumors have it that Republicans who voted “No”, were dragged into breakout sessions and “convinced” by their colleagues that they must change their position. Phones came out, calls were made, and it is highly plausible that Trump himself had a few words with those who were “No”. In the end, only two republicans remained “No”, the rest changed their vote to “Yes”.

The result:

This bill, which has, at face value, some upsides, will bring about more mayhem, destruction, and pain than we can presently imagine, and there’s no way out of harm’s way.

Key Tax Provisions

• Extension of 2017 Trump tax cuts made permanent.

• Increased standard deduction: +$1,000 for individuals, +$2,000 for couples (until 2028).

• Social Security tax breaks: $6,000 deduction for seniors earning ≤$75k (2025–2028).

• No tax on tips/overtime: Phased out at $150k income level, expires 2028.

• Child tax credit: Increased to $2,200, requires only one parent have SSN.

Cuts to Social Programs

• Medicaid restrictions:

  • Work requirements for able-bodied adults

  • More frequent re-enrollment and income verification

  • CBO: ~17 million may lose coverage

  • Provider tax cuts lowered from 6% to 3.5% (delayed, rural fund added)

• SNAP (food stamps):

  • States with >6% error rate must co-fund benefits

  • Adds work requirements for non-dependent adults

Defense and Enforcement Spending

• $150 billion boost to military, including “Golden Dome” missile defense.

• $100 billion for ICE:

  • Nearly doubles migrant detention capacity

  • Makes ICE largest U.S. law enforcement agency

State and Local Tax (SALT) Deduction

• Cap raised from $10,000 to $40,000 for 5 years, then reverts.

Clean Energy Cuts

• Biden-era tax credits phased out more slowly:

  • 100% in 2025 → 60% in 2026 → 20% in 2027 → gone by 2028

• Credits denied to firms tied to “foreign entities of concern” (e.g., China).

Debt Ceiling and Fiscal Impact

• Debt ceiling raised by $5 trillion.

• CBO estimate: Adds $3.3 trillion to the deficit over 10 years.

Where Are We Now

The United States will continue to unravel. Step by step, rights, abilities, and the already insufficient safety nets will be stripped bare. Some may feel a temporary “upside” by saving a few dollars on their tax bill, while millions will feel the noose tightening and life-saving benefits eroding. The outcome, when you strip desperately needed safety programs, is mayhem, despair, and for many, it will be death.

All women. The elderly. The LGBTQ community. The immigrant community. The BIPOC community. The disabled community. The underemployed. The disenfranchised and those who experience systemic inequalities. All of these demographics will be negatively impacted.

The Future

There are too many competing elements to focus on just one aspect of destruction. That’s by design. The intent is to move at breakneck speed, with big agenda items, keeping everyone constantly stimulated but exhausted. The common denominators of everything that is unfolding are destruction, mayhem, and death. Sounds hyperbolic. It isn’t.

Shock & Awe: The Way of the Regime

Compounding our downfall is that we, the United States of America, stand alone. There are no allied forces to come to our rescue. We are the predominant military force on the planet; no one comes even close, and we just upped the Pentagon’s budget to $1 trillion (rounded).

For reference, the United States military spending significantly surpasses that of any other country, accounting for nearly 40% of global military expenditure. In 2024, the U.S. spent $996 billion on defense, exceeding the combined spending of the next nine highest-spending countries. China, the second-largest spender, allocated an estimated $314 billion (SIPRI).

The USA: An Impenetrable Fortress

A moat to the East (Atlantic), the West (Pacific), and the South (Gulf of Mexico). A smaller portion of the border is heavily secured, with Mexico to the south, and the tundra to the North, with Canada.

Storming the American version of Normandy Beach is not an option. Crossing through Canada cannot be done undetected, and coming from the South exposes the approach terrain and a heavily secured border.

Dissimilar to the allied forces of WWII, where the United States was an integral part, no one can, nor will, come to our rescue.

Russia, also an allied force of WWII, is all too enamored with our downfall, and the rest of the world is outnumbered and outclassed by our military power.

Even if some assembly of underpowered countries were to unite, to access the United States is impossible.

Historically, the liberation of countries from dictatorships has occurred through various means, including both internal and external forces. However, the United States presents a unique case due to its global influence, military strength, and geographic position.

Let’s play the most dangerous game of all

What if Americans, drowning in precarity, stripped of rights, staring down empty fridges and full debt ledgers, decided to follow the last line in the sand drawn in 1776? What if the Founders’ most controversial clause, the Second Amendment, was activated not as a meme, not as cosplay, but as intent?

What if the last “peaceful option” had been exhausted, and GAS had gone “sideways”?

Historically, the conditions we are beginning to experience have led to armed conflict, revolutions, and “big resets” that were paid in blood.

Phase I: Fragmentation and Disruption

• Communication Breakdown: Within 72 hours of a general strike turning confrontational, internet and telecom infrastructure in major cities is “interrupted”, and digital martial law protocols cut activists off from each other.

• Narrative Control: Cable news pivots immediately. The words “domestic terror,” “insurrection,” and “foreign agents” flood the airwaves. Social platforms ban footage, then purge accounts.

• Provocation: One shooting in front of a federal building, manufactured or real, is all it takes to authorize broader suppression.

Phase II: Militarized Federal Response

• The Patriot Purge 2.0: Project 2025 lays the groundwork: mass deputization of ICE, Border Patrol, and National Guard under a singular domestic counterinsurgency doctrine.

• Urban Occupation: Major cities become tactical zones. Drones in the sky. Surveillance in the sewer. Dissent is algorithmically tracked, predicted, and neutralized. This coincides with Palantir’s mission to gather all intelligence.

• Rural Militias Are Given Quiet Permission: In parallel, far-right paramilitary groups are either ignored or subtly encouraged to “protect the heartland.” Trump’s “Stand down. Stand by” echoes from the past.

Phase III: Economic Siege and Infrastructure Collapse

• Energy Rationing Begins: The power grid is targeted. Either through attack or controlled failure, blackouts are frequent and weaponized. Texas and Florida may stay lit. Los Angeles, Seattle, Minneapolis, Detroit, NYC, etc., could go dark.

• Water and Transit Systems Go Offline: Pipes burst, bridges and tunnels closed. Trains and buses are halted “for safety.” Highways are patrolled. Food deserts metastasize into food famines.

• Currency Suspension: Under the guise of financial stability, banks go into lockdown. Online transfer of funds will be disabled or is highly tracked and validated before disbursement. Cash is king, but most don’t have any. Thus, trade is the new currency.

Phase IV: Tactical Resistance and Splinter Governance

• Covert Coordination Networks Rise: The new underground doesn’t wear fatigues or wave flags. They blend in as normal citizens. Small cells begin to form, decentralized, secure. This is not a coordinated rebellion. It’s a civic immune system that activates to preserve future perspectives.

• Sanctuary Cities Become Fortress Zones: Seattle, Austin, Philly, and Minneapolis refuse to comply with federal overreach. Local PDs split down ideological lines.

• Supply Chain Sabotage: Bridges collapse, ports burn, and truckers refuse to drive into hostile states. Domestic logistics fragment. Amazon warehouses are looted and torched. Food, ammo, and insulin become barter chips.

Phase V: The Fractured Republic

• Four Americas might emerge:

  1. Theocratic Strongholds - governed by a Project 2025 constitution and “Christian heritage law.”

  2. Corporate-Governed Enclaves - safe, sterilized, surveillance-heavy, and only for the affluent.

  3. Warlord Suburbs - run by ex-cops, cartel adjacents, and landlords with private armies.

  4. Mutual Aid Territories - barely scraping by, but functioning, led by nurses, farmers, and engineers who refuse to let the country burn without saving the children inside.

• International Response? None. The world watches. Some cheer. Some worry. But no one intervenes. Not against the world's last superpower.

Epitaph, Not Prediction

Let me be 100% clear: this is not a call to arms. However, if peaceful solutions are void, and if legal recourse is rigged, then this doomsday scenario is not far-fetched.

Because if “elections don’t matter,” if “truth is fake,” and if “law is just whatever MAGA says it is,” then bullets will speak where ballots were silenced.

The Antidote:

Before we step into the last resort, remember that solidarity still works. Organizing still matters. The system wants you alone, broke, scared, and confused.

Don’t give them what they want.

• Train in skills, not slogans. From cooking and canning, and from planting to harvesting, even in urban areas, this could be your true independence.

• Pick the people you trust to share resources with. When currency isn’t an option, bartering becomes the new currency. Establish these parameters upfront, and then bank on having aligned with the right group.

  • Who does what?

  • What help and advice is needed?

  • What skills is the group lacking, and where can we get them?

  • What are the must-haves, nice-to-haves, and what are luxuries?

• Communicate early. Don’t wait until the last minute. This is uncomfortable because it feels “prepper style” and pessimistic. However, you are likely not alone in the way you feel and what you want to do, but no one has broken the ice yet. Be the first mover and have that conversation with people you trust.

Prepare for peace, but know your options if the unthinkable happens.

The saying goes: History doesn’t repeat, but sometimes it rhymes. With gunfire.

On a personal note: I’d have loved to write something positive today. Something forward-looking and cheerful. But..how? When you objectively look at what’s unfolding, and let reality speak for itself, there’s little to deduce but that we’re in harm’s way, and we’re not (yet) in enough pain to act.
