I can see why you moved over here, to do your political stuff. You're right it's time to start fighting whether that's in the form of protest, civil disobedience, and resistance. At some point blood will be drawn, battle lines will be drawn, and war will break out.

I don't believe there's a way to stop what's coming. Now we can only weather the storm and fight back.

…fascism is not an ideology, it’s the way to take and hold power, we have a regime with dictator in power with christian NAZI writing laws

Most the Nazis were Christian the last time too.

…history is never a straight line, it’s more of a pendulum, we can not afford to live in democracy from elections to elections, we have to sustain its progress, bad people always feel vacuum in power, that’s why education is everything and not “diplomas for sale” and prep industry in public schools to mold kids to fit the wall

That articles right, the resurgence of religion in America absolutely coincides with 9/11, there's also a correlation between the resurgence in religion and the increase in xenophobia.

I agree completely. I will take a look at the article you sent me.

A lot to unpack here. I agree with some of it, disagree with other parts.

Due to time, I'll limit my response.

While the Democrats are certainly flawed, there are reasons why they didn't speak up or object as much during the most recent election cycle as many would have liked to see.

The national fascism is likely very temporary. Damage will be done (is being done), though hopefully we can reverse some or most of it.

We'll still have fascism in some states to deal with, but we can focus more on those states more once the national threat is addressed.

In the very unlikely event the current regime holds, I have no doubt we'll see a lot of resistance in various ways.

This might sound like a broken record - as always, I hope you're right, Jerry!

Concerning my topical selection, “analysis”, opinion, and radical realism, the LAST thing I want to be is “right”.

I'm just trying to see if I can get you to have some optimism. There's good reason to be optimistic, at least on this front. Thus, why I've tagged you a few times on TT. In the event things get derailed, a calm, logical voice such as yours will be extremely important. I'm just asking you to not give up quite yet, maybe highlight the hope there is a bit. Maybe work off the other creators ,or at least point them out. The ones providing some hope. Just a thought.

I'm glad to see others that can afford/spare/find any optimism and even more so, that you're sharing it. Especially to critical, informed voices like Zeitgeist's.

For those of us targeted for eradication: our reality is vastly more harsh; our mindset must be different. Effective survivorship benefits from preparation for most dire of outcomes. For us in targeted & dehumanized groups, Z's radical realism validates us; and his historically informed perspective motivates & facilitates creation of real solutions should the worst come to pass.

For this atheist, if it meant you were right, I would almost.. *almost* try prayer ... That our step-by-step death march mirroring 80-90 years ago was easily given an about face and the course of humanity set right.. Oh, how I wish for you to be right...

I've been looking at Trump and comparing him to Hitler since 2016. I do understand the threat he and those around him represent. Especially to marginalized groups.

Certainly I understand taking steps to be prepared as possible.

I just happen to see he isn't a legitimate president. While surprised he was given the keys to power, even temporarily, I honestly believe that Biden wouldn't have provided the peaceful transfer of power unless he was positive there was a plan in place to remove him in a relatively short time.

While possible any plans get derailed, I'm choosing to be hopeful and optimistic at least for a bit yet. Though, at the same time, I see the threat. I have for a while.

I certainly can't imagine what others are dealing with, especially those in potentially targeted groups.

Seems to me worth trying to both prepare for the worst, but look at everything that's happening, the how and why we got here, and try to hold out some hope and optimism. There is reason for it. There truly is.

Unfortunately, as we're dealing with a global situation, and it's not just the US, it's taking a bit more time for results.

Maybe it's naive to believe things will work out, but I'm willing to take the chance.

To everyone reading this, whether they're from the US or elsewhere, I need you to acknowledge one more, quite frankly, devastating truth: history shows us that fascist and authoritarian regimes are never fully broken and dismantled just by internal resistance. Germany in the 1930s and onwards as well as each occupied country had its resistance, organised from the day one. And yet, true liberation only came when local resistance was aided either in fighting force and/or substantial material aid from outside allies. And therein lies the worst fate of the US 😕

You're right. 1000%

Even before the full goose-stepping heel turn (and click) of Trump's bullying, diaper swinging, isolationist second installment, there was no way to save us. Now... Trump is making sure no country will want to give us aid even. 😡😢
